SETTLED BY AUSTRALIAN AUTHORITY,
AWARD OF CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY. (Received This Day, 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Eighteen-Footers’ League has accepted the resignation of Mr B. Swinbourne, who appealed against the disqualification of the Taree in the world’s championship contest held at Auckland in February and objected to his appeal being withdrawn by the Australian Board of Control. The league decided to send the world’s championship cup to the New Zealand Yatch Association, for presentation to the winner.
