Negotiations have been completed for the transfer of certain of the Horowhenua County Council’s property at Tokomaru to Horlick’s Proprietary, Ltd., for the erection of a factory. It was reported at a meeting of the council that the factory will cover nearly two acres, and will adjoin the Tokomaru Butter Factory and the Tokomaru River, the water of which will be used in the operation of the plant. Practically the -whole of the milk received at the Tokomaru factory will be utilised.
