THE QUICKEST WAY
WHAT EVERYONE WANTS TO KNOW.
The quickest way of clearing the smell of stale smoke out of a room is to burn a few drops of vinegar on a hot shovel.
To keep copper kettle and fire irons bright, rub, them with a flannel wrung out of hot water, then dipped in powdered borax. Rinse, then polish With a dry duster. To prevent darning needles from rusting when not in use, darn them through a piece of brown paper. To remove paint-stains from navy blue serge, rub the part with a cut onion until stains disappear. If a cotton sheet is placed between two blankets it will give more warmth than four blankets. The cotton retains the warmth.
To fasten down linoleum, use liquid glue instead of tacks. When polishing between the tines of forks, use a wooden skewer dipped in silver polish.
Paint can be removed from the hands by rubbing them with phenyle and then washing in the ordinary way.
