An inspection of 39G pupils of Ihc Kowhai Intermediate School revealed that nearly 90 per cent, had postural defects, stated a report from the Health Department received at a meeting of the Auckland Education Board. "It would seem that special attention to posture should be given by all teachers undertaking physical training." stated lite report, which mentioned that similar defects were found in another large school. The board decided to forward the report to the headmaster.
