The campaign in England will be intensified. If Chamberlain wants it to finish., he must negotiate with Sean Russell, not de Valera." Scotland Yard has frustrated an Irish Republican Arrnv plot to effect a rescue at Chelmsford gaol after it had received warnings from an ox-convict of an attempt to help an I.R.A. leader to escape.
