PREMIER'S INTIMATION

The Premier of New South Wales. Mr A. Mair, said legislation to provide for increased taxation, to compensate for reduced revenue, will be introduced immediately Parliament reassembles next week. He continued: “The public will be asked to dip rather deeply into their pockets, but everything possible will be done to distribute the additional taxation over a very wide field.”
