LANSDOWNE SCHOOL
MEETING OF COMMITTEE. At the last meeting of the committee of the Lansdowne School there were present Messrs H. E. Either (in the chair), Dagg. Donovan. Ross. Logan, McGregor. Faulkner, and the headmaster. Mr Jones. An apology for absence was received from Mr McFarlane. who is on his annual leave. Accounts amounting to ,C 1 7s were passed. The headmaster's report was adopted. The roll number was shown as 276. Miss M. G. Rowse had been appointed to the stall' in place of Miss Drummond. Mr R. N. Anker was relieving until the end of the term. The visiting committee reported that the grounds were in first-class order, and that in the near future a grove of Japanese cherry trees would be planted along the school boundary adjoining Blair Street. At the Arts and Crafts Exhibition held recently the school was successful in having 35 exhibits chosen for I’m? Centennial Exhibition.
Messrs. Logan and Ross were appointed a visiting committee for ensuing month.
