CHURCH SERVICES
The preacher at the morning and evening services at Knox Church tomorrow will be the Rev John Davie, who will also take the service at Kaituna at 2 p.m. The Holy Communion will be celebrated at St Matthew’s Church tomorrow at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. The Vicar will be the- preacher both in the morning and the evening. Services will be conducted at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. at Kuripuni by the Rev T. V. Pearson and at Upper Plain at 7 p.m. by Mr V. W. Joblin. The meeting of the Baptist Fellowship, which is to be held in the Y.M.C.A. Hall on Sunday will be conducted by the Rev J. Ayson Clifford, of the Karori Church and those interested are cordially invited to attend. On Tuesday next in the same hall a Fellowship meeting will bo conducted by the Rev Hayes Lloyd. Sunday School will commence on Sunday at 10.15 a.m., when a special welcome will be extended to the children. The services at the Lansdowne Presbyterian Church tomorrow morning and evening will be conducted by the Rev David McNeur. In the Mauriceville Public Hall at 1.30 p.m. a memorial service will be held in connection with the death of the late Mr James McGovern. Mr McNeur will hold a service at Eketahuna at 3 p.m. The annual Home Mission deputation will be received in the Methodist Church tomorrow evening, when the special preacher will be the Rev H. J. Odell, the assistant superintendent of Home Missions in New Zealand. The services for the day will have special reference to the work of the church in the backblocks and amongst the Maori people. The morning preacher will be the Rev Frederick J. Parker, who will speak on "Our Home Task.” Attention is drawn to the annual Home Mission meeting. At the Kuripuni Methodist Church tomorrow Mr F. G. Rutter will be the preacher in the morning. At 6.50 p.m. cars will leave the church for the town church service. The Methodist service at Rangitumau tomorrow at 2 p.m. will be conducted by the Rev Fred J. Parker. The services at the Salvation Army tomorrow will be conducted by Major and Mi-s Mahall’ie. In the morning service Mrs Mahaffic will be the speaker when she will take for her subject "Not By Nature Eut By Grace." At the evening service the Major will take for his subject "A Sure Foundation." All arc heartily invited to the services.
