■-— ■» SOUTH AFRICA MAKES NEW AGREEMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 10.10 a.m.) LONDON. August 10. The “Financial News” says it is reported that Germany and South Africa are negotiating a new payments agreement, involving German purchases from the Union of £10,000,000 worth of produce, with a corresponding increase of South African purchases from Germany. It is believed that this will give Germany a monopoly over South African wool of which she is already the largest consumer.
