COURSING
WAIRARAPA CLUB’S MEETING.
DRAW FOR MAIDEN STAKE.
For the meeting to be held tomorrow afternoon by the Wairarapa Coursing Club a good field of ten has been received for the Maiden Stake. In conjunction with this event trials will also be held for competitors going to the Waterloo Cup at Hastings commencing on August 17. It is also proposed to run puppy trials on Saturday, which will prove invaluable experience for these young dogs. The draw is as follows:—Mrs B. Mosen's (Masterton) British Pride meets Mr J. Hanley's (Masterton) Black Magic; Mr Crafword’s. (Carterton) Jeanne meets Mr J. Hare's (Masterion) The Trump; Mr W. L. Jensen's Carterton) White Lie meets Mr F. Butcher's (Masterton) Rerenoa; Mr F. Butcher's (Masterton.) Nigger Minstrel; Messrs McGrath and Cooke’s (Wellington) Cardsharper meets Mr W. Williams's (Masterton) Flying Veil. Officials for the meeting are as follow: —Judge. Mr S. D. Geary; slipper Mr W. J. Buick; assistant slipper, Mr R. McEwan: hare steward. Mr L. M. Archer; stimulant stewards Messrs F. Williams and D. Grimwood; call stew•ird, Mr D. Grimwood: timekeeper. Mr :.
