At the weekly euchre party at Nireaha the prize winners were: Ladies. Mrs Spring and Miss L. Spring; men. Mr Drysdale and Mi' Sigvertson. After supper had been partaken of. dancing was indulged in till midnight. NIREAHA CHURCH IMPROVEMENT IN GROUNDS. Recently a working bee was formed and the grounds of the Nireaha Anglican Church benefited by the willing band of Workers who cleared away the dead leaves and cut back the trees. STOCK SALE DEMAND FOR HOGGETS. At the weekly stock sale at Eketahuna yesterday hoggets with a ready sale at late rates but dairy cattle were hard to sell. Personal. The friends of Mr and Mrs C. Mills will be pleased to learn that their small daughter Margaret, who is an inmate of the Masterton Hospital, is progressing favourably, although it will be some weeks before she will be able to return home. Mrs G. Shannon, president of the ■Women's Institute, suffered a bereavement in the death of her lather at Hastings. Much sympathy is extended to both Mr and Mrs Shannon, this being the second bereavement in a short time, Mr Shannon have recently lost his father.
