MAURICEVILLE TALKIES

THREE GREAT STARS TOMORROW. "His Affair” provides both Robert Taylor and Barbara Stanwyck with the most important story either of these great stars have ever had, and affords Victor McLaglen the opportunity of creating a character which won him the Academy Award. This powerful story which will be shown at Mauriceville tomorrow night opens in the Middle West, where a series of sensational bank robberies threatens the stability of America. The President oi the U.S.A, turns in desperation to a valorous young naval officer, who. sworn to secrecy, is instructed to disgrace himself in the navy, and join the bank-robbing gang later locating their government informant. Taylor makes the acquaintance of Victor McLaglen and a singing and dancing star, Barbara Stanwyck. Taylor is caught and arrested with the others, and in a stirringly dramatic climax, faces the prospect of the gallows, when the only man who can clear his name, the President himself, is assassinated —a fate, so unexpected. undreamed of and unthinkable, as to create a situation of bloodchilling danger and terror. Then comes the triumph of the man through a love greater than life or honour.
