ARABLE ACREAGE
INCREASE IN BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, August 9. A feature of the annual returns made in June by farmers in England and Wales and published by the Ministry of Agriculture is an increase of 48.000 acres in arable land. Immediately after the war, and again since 1935, there had been a steady decline till this year, when the total arable acreage recorded is 8,926,000.
