HARRIER ACTIVITIES
KIATERE CLUB. MORISON'S BUSH HANDICAPS. Members and supporters of the Kiatere Club will journey to Morison's Bush on Saturday at. the invitation of one of the Club's keenest supporters, Mr H. Scrimshaw. Mr Scrimshaw and Mr J. Carter have jointly donated a very handsome silver cup for annual' competition in this race and as the I country to be run over is of the finest i type for cross-country racing, an ex- [ ceptionally keen contest can be expected. The run, which will be an open handicap over a one lap trail, will commence from the Morison’s Bush Hotel at approximately 2.30 p.m., and at its conclusion, afternoon tea will be served and the cup presented to the winner. The club handicapper, Mr J. Carter, has declared the following handicaps in the senior section: R. Greeks, scr; W. Burgess 15sec; W. Burns. W. MacDonald, J. Laing 40sec; A. MacDonald 2min; L. Frances, H. Stewart, 3.30; A. Addison 4min; R. Searancke 5.10; D. Nelson 6min. In the junior section the run will be an open handicap of 3 1-8 miles over a part of the senior trail. The following are the handicaps: M. Doyle scr; N. Jacobsen 15sec; F. Sexton 50sec; C. Stewart Imin; C. Summers 2min; S. Pickett 2.25; N. Dickel 3.25; J. Hodgett, G. Laing 4min. Handsome trophies have also been donated for competition among the juniors in this race. Members will make the trip by bus, leaving the Post Office at 1.30 p.m.
