August 15 —17: Leslie Cnarter’s popular fictional hero, "The Saint." again comes to life in the second of the series of films, “The Saint Strikes Back.” George Sanders plays the role of the modern Robin Hood. Wendy Barrie and Jonathan Hale are also featured. Appearing on the same programme is the latest Walt Disney cartoon. “Donald’s Ostrich.” (Recommended by the censor for adults). FRIDAY. August 18—21: Irene Dunne adds new laurels to her brilliant brow in one of the finest film? of the season, “The Nearest Thing to Heaven.” in which she is co-starred with Charles Boyer.
