The extent to which the postal facilities in Dunedin had been interrupted during the recent bad weather was clearly illustrated at a meeting of the Canterbury Football Association. The secretary (Mr R. B. Bunt) said he had received a letter from Dunedin dated July 24. The postmark was also July 24. A footnote to the letter said: “It is snowing hard here tonight —I hope the air mail will get this to you tomorrow for your evening meeting.” However, said Mr Bunt, he had not received the letter until July 28 —three days after it would normally have arrived.
