EXECUTIONS IN SPAIN
FOR CONSPIRING TO MURDER.
OTHERS AWAITING SENTENCE.
(Received This Day, 10.30 a.m.) MADRID, August G.
It is officially announced that fiftythree persons were executed for an alleged conspiracy to murder Major Irurzun. Seven others including the actual murderer, await sentences.
A cablegram from Hendaye received last Friday, stated that six former Republican militiamen had been arrested for the murder of Major Irurzun. who was inspector of the Madrid police. The militiamen wore reported to have ambushed Major Irurzun's car, also killing the chaffeur.
