Time brings with it many changes, and even the traditional puttee worn by members of the Territorial Force will soon be dispensed with. The puttee has had its day and its place will be taken by a neat webbing anklet, supplies of which are expected to arrive from England soon. In adopting the anklet, the New Zealand forces will fall into line witli the practice in England, where the anklet is particularly popular. Mounted troops will retain riding breeches and puttees.
