The New Zealand badminton team beat South Australia by six rubbers and 12 sets to one rubber and three sets. Mrs Hawksworth won 11-3, 11-7; Hawksworth won 11-5, 15-8; Pearce lost 15-11, 18-13; Mrs Hawksworth and Miss Kerr won 15-11, 15-8; Mr and Mrs Hawksworth won 15-8, 15-11; Miss Kerr won 11-12, 11-9, 11-2; Hawksworth and Pearce won 15-5, 15-3. The visitors left a memory of coordinated play and the women's smashing ta'ctics were also educational. Mrs Hawksworth revealed wonderful facility for eliminating errors in the single and had marked control of drop shots, which were always in the right place. Miss Kerr taught lessons in smashing. The team left Adelaide today full of confidence for the test match in Melbourne on Tuesday and Wednesday.
