MAKOGAI LEPERS
« ANNUAL APPEAL FOR GIFTS. The annual appeal for Christmas gifts for the lepers at Makogai Island is now being made by the honorary collector (Mr P. J. Twomey). He asks for gifts or money to buy them. Most suitable gifts are musical instruments, toys, dolls, bats, tennis rackets, games, etc., silk, light materials, embroidery, cottons etc.. sweets, soap, cigarettes, and tobacco. No books are being sent this year. Gifts may be sent to Mr Twomey at his private address, 172 Bealey Avenue. Christchurch.
