RABBITSKIN MARKET
A BETTER TONE
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN. This Day.
The boisterous weather conditions experienced during the past week or two resulted in a comparatively small offering of 42 tons being brought forward at the usual auction of rabbit skins. The market showed a better tone, competition being animated for all descriptions. Due to the short supply, all winter grades were in request, especially bucks which appreciated 3d to 9d. Does also sold well at late quotations, while hatters’ grades were par to Id higher. America was operating strongly, and some parcels went to Australia. New Zealand furriers gave fair support on lots suitable for their trade.
