The latest report on shipping movements in United Kingdom ports shows that foreign trade entrances with cargo in the June quarter were 11 per cent higher than during the year earlier and constituted a record for the second quarter, while the clearances with cargo. which increased by 81 per cent were the highest for any June quarter since 1930. Though the British shipyards specialising in the construction of warships are busy now in connection with the rearmament programme, orders are in hand for vessels and equipment for Greece. Yugoslavia. Poland and Estonia. In addition six destroyers and 12 small craft are being built for Brazil.
