LABOUR PARTY
DANCE AND CARD PARTY. ENJOYABLE GATHERING. A very successful dance and euchre tournament was held by the Labour Party social committee in the Y.M.C.A last night. Music was supplied by members of Barnes’s Rhythm Boys. Extras were played by Mr Stewart and Mr Dewar. An exhibition of tap dancing was given by Mr Leo. The winners of the lucky spot waltz were Mrs Kirk and Mr B. Lee and of the Monte Carlo Mrs O’Neil and Mr Finlayson.
The card prizes were won by Mrs Price and Mr Stewart. Mr Duncan was successful in the competition for a hand worked table centre,'’ Mr P. H. Shaw was M.C. The next of these popular functions will be held on August .17.
