DRAW FOR HANDICAP TOURNEY. CONDITIONS OF PLAY. A handicap basketball tournament is to be held over two Saturdays. The draw is as follows: — A Grade. First round: lona A scr v H.S.O.G. plus 5, Court 1,2 p.m., J. Gemmell; College A plus 4 v Carterton plus 5, Court 2,2 p.m., M. Rutherford; Stars minus 2 v College B plus 7, Court 1, 2.20 p.m., P. Kilmister; Collegians plus 9 v lona B plus 5, Court 2, 2.20 p.m., H. Winter. Second round: Winners of 2 p.m. games, Court 1, 2.40 p.m.; losers of 2 p.m. games, Court 2, 2.40 p.m.; winners of 2.20 p.m. games. Court 1, 3.10 p.m.; losers of 2.20 p.m. games, Court 2, 3.10 p.m. B Grade. First round: Belvedere minus 1 v College D plus 6, Court 3,2 p.m., A. Burgess; Stars scr v College Colts plus 6, Court IV, 2 p.m., D. Dysaght; Greytown Hospital plus 5 v College C plus 3, Court 3, 2.40 p.m., R. K. Edwards; Grey town plus 4 v Hospital plus 1, Court 3, 3 p.m., D. O’Donnell. Second round: Winners of 2 p.m. games, Court IV, 3 p.m.; losers of 2 p.m. games, Court IV, 2.40 p.m.; winners of 2.40 p.m. game v winners of 3 p.m. game, Court 3, 3.20 p.m.; losers of 2.40 p.m. game v losers of 3 p.m. game, Court IV, 3.30 p.m. • The conditions of play are:—The winners will play winners and the losers will play losers. Teams may be required to play two matches in one day. There will be two 10-minute spells with no interval. Handicaps may be altered during the competition. In order to even the draw lona B and Carterton have been transferred to A grade for the tournament.
