INCREASED PETROL TAX
DUNEDIN TAXI PROPRIETORS PETITION COUNCIL. CONTROL OF TRANSPORT WANTED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN. This Day. The increased petrol tax is promising to produce chaotic conditions in the city taxi business. The r’-onric'm’-s have petitioned the council for the control of transport. such as exists in Christchurch. Hamilton and other towns. It is considered that a small increase in the fare is inevitable.
