COURSING

WAIRARAPA CLUB’S MEETING ALTERATIONS IN NOMINATIONS. Several alterations have been made in the nominations received for the Maiden Stake to be decided on Saturday bv the Wairarapa Coursing Club. Mr W. Williams’s Flying Veil has been withdrawn and the same owners Orui Girl will be competing instead. Mr W. Moser’s Betty Boop, who who showed good speed earlier in the season, is also withdrawn but no difficulty is expected in bringing the total nomination to the required number. Mr J. Hanley's Black Magic, who coursed well at the last meeting is expected to be in better form on Saturday and should perform well. Golden Gem, Mr J. Hare’s nomination, who was runner-up to Flying Joe tne last time he coursed at Akura, will be in tip-top form and will be one of the hardest to beat in the event.
