The “Daily Mail's" correspondent al Bombay says the riots resulted in injury to 5G persons including 27 policemen. A curfew has been imposed for a fortnight. 'lhe prohibition celebrations included,:! demonstration by a hundred thousand Moslems and Hindus singing funeral hymns of the demon drink, a figure representing which was burned by school children, a mass ■.■ reeling congratulating the Government on the institution of prohibition. The police, with fixed bayonets, are watching strategic points, with orders to fire on rioters.
