Miss Mary Jane Birkehind. of Honolulu, formerly of Hollywood has sued the Australian swimming coach, Hay, for 20,000 dollars for an eye injury suffered at a picnic ten days ago. She alleged that Hay “negligently and carelessly threw a bottle, striking plaintiff and cutting and bruising her head in the vicinity of the eye." Hay is here pending a settlement of negotiations concerning a Japan swimming trip. _______
