APPOINTED TO POSITION IN BERMUDA. (By Telegraph—Prc-ss Association.» AUCKLAND, 'this Day. An export on Auckland's weather and a leading authority on storms in the Southern Pacific, Dr Wallace A. Macky, Government Meteorologist in Auckland for over two years, leaves next month to become head of the Meteorological Office at Bermuda, one of the important seaports of the North Atlantic. Dr Macky established the Meteorological Office at the Hobsonvillo Air Base, where he made observations during the pioneer Pan-American and Imperial Airways flights to Auckland. Before coming to Auckland, Dr Macky was in the head office at Wellington. Ho had previously been stationed at Singapore.
