An official communique announces: “Certain troops are to be despatched at an early date from India to Malaya. This move, which is a precautionarymeasure. has been under consideration for some time."
It is understood that the troops will be largely Indian and in considerable numbers. It is regarded as a further move in strengthening Empire strategic points.
