In the final of the men’s singles Parker defeated McNeill 6/3, 8/6, 6/0. Parker played with almost mechanical precision. His new forehand functioned well. McNeill carried the fight to Parker in the first two sets,, going to the net. consistently, but Parker was too steady and repeatedly got the ball past McNeill with unerring sideliners. His victory has boosted his chances for a Davis Cup place. In the final of the women’s singles Mrs Bernhard defeated Miss Workman 6/3, 7/5. WESTERN CANADA AUSTRALIANS SWEEP ALL BEFORE THEM. VANCOUVER, July 29. A record crowd saw the Australians sweep all before them in the finals of the Western Canadian tennis championships today. At the conclusion H. Hopman and J. Bromwich were the centre of a remarkable ovation. Hcpman declared that Bromwich's form has never been better. In the singles final Bromwich beat Hopman, 6-2, 6-2, 6-8, 6-0, and in the doubles final Bromwich and Hopman beat Hall and Readv (California), 6-2, 6-2, 6-4.

In the final of the mixed doubles Bromwich and Miss Eleanor Young beat William Hoggs and Mrs E. Harper (California), 6-2. 6-4. 6-0.
