SCHOOLS BASKETBALL
QUADRANGULAR TOURNEY. (By Telegran.lt—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. This Day. . The annual quadrangular basketball tournament between Dannevirke High School. Wairarapa Girls' College. Wellington East College, and Hutt Valley High School, began yesterday in Lower Hutt. It will conclude today. Yesterday’s results are: — Wellington East 12, Wairarapa 11. This was a fast game of high standard, with the issue in doubt all the way. Hutt Valley 17, Dannevirke 12. This game was slower, but the passing was good. Interception was faulty. Dannevirke showed accuracy in goal-shoot-ing. n r Mrs W. H. Kennedy was referee ol both games. Today’s games will be between Wairarapa and Dannevirke and Wellington East and Hutt, starting at 10 a.m.
