GRAIN AND PRODUCE

CANTERBURY MARKETS. POTATO PRICES FIRM. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, July 28. The potato market in Christchurch still shows a firming tendency, today’s quotations to growers being £l5 to £l5 10s a ton, according to station and delivery. Though two exceptionally large shipments comprising more than 20,000 sacks have gone to the North Island in the last two weeks, the demand from there is still keen. Another shipment will be made about the middle of next week.

There is still no activity in small seeds trade and the other markets are unchanged.
