Mrs Piper, who had been on a visit to Greytown, has returned to Auckland.

Mrs H. Bloomfield, of Greytown, is at present in Honolulu, being on her way to the United States. Mr and Mrs H. J. Jones, of Renall Street, Masterton, have returned from a holiday spent in Auckland. Mrs E. J. Rich, The Vicarage, Masterton, has returned from a short visit to Wellington. Mr and Mrs J. P. Farrell, Renall Street, Masterton, are spending the weekend in Napier. Mr and Mrs E. Jenkins and family, Renall Street, Masterton, are 'staying at Paraparaumu Beach. Miss Lorna Blundell, of Ngarahui, Carterton, who has been the guest of Mrs Bryan Kingston, of Riddell Road, Glendowie, Auckland, has returned home.

Miss M. Brisco and Miss R. Drummond, who have been appointed to positions at the Otekaike School, will leave for the South Island early this week.
