PUKETOI v BUSH. WIN FOR HOME TEAM. ("Times-Age” Special.) The Puketoi representative football team met and defeated Bush at Pongaroa yesterday afternoon. There was a fair attendance of the public who witnessed a fast but determined game. Both sides threw the ball about when opportunity afforded but the game wa? mostly confined to the forwards in which department Puketoi showed themselves experts, indulging in many, excellent rushes.

In the first spell Hay scored a try for Puketoi and converted it and a little later Berry crossed the line. TT r goal resulted and the half time score was, Puketoi 8, Bush nil.

In the second spell Bush never once' penetrated the Puketoi 25.’s The Bush team tackled in great style, otherwise the score would have been much bigger. There was no further score in the second half. Mr D. McDonald was referee.
