BRITISH ACTOR
TO RETURN TO STAGE. Sir Cedric Hardwicke. the noted British actor, will leave Hollywood for London shortly to return to the English stage, where he was a favourite for so many years.
After finishing “Stanley and Livingstone” at 20th Century-Fox, he will produce in London "Shadow and Substance,” the play that was such a hi' on Broadway last season, and which starred him. He will play the principal role again and the cast will include a few other members of the Broadway company. Sir Cedric cut short a tour in the East of “Shadow and Substance" to play Livingstone. He was last seen in the movies as the cleric in "Greer Light.” He won wide acclaim several years ago for his interpretation of the bishop in “Les Miserables."
