FROZEN MEAT TRADE
INCREASE IN EXPORTS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Exports of frozen and chilled meat from New Zealand during the 94 months of the current season to July 15, show increases in every class except pork, when compared with those for the corresponding period of last season. The figures are as follows: those for 1938-38 being shown in parentheses: —Lamb, 7.377,707 carcases (7.319730); mutton, 1.576.173 carcases (1,428,454); chilled beef, 218,095 quarters (196,813); frozen beef, 131.028 quarters (107.380); boneless beef. 307,035 bags (242,658); pork, 417.908 carcases (498,271).
