On Monday afternoon the Achilles soccer team defeated an island team by 3 goals to one. Their Excellencies and party were present during the evening at the Seiaute Club dance, which drew a large crowd. A searchlight display by the ship took place at 7.30 p.m. A European reception at the Courthouse today at 10 a.m. was well attended by all nationals resident in Samoa. The Hon O. F. Nelson presented an address to his Excellency, who replied thanking the people, for the warm reception. A visit to the Government schools at Ifi and Malifa took up the remainder of the forepoon. Golf, cricket ancj Rugby football were arranged for the entertainment of the officers and ratings.
