He said there were over one hundred large ships in the Pacific and they would continue enlarging the, fleet as restless Far Eastern neigh bours needed a lesson to prove the Soviet's strength. He added that t b > Soviet had more submarines than any country—-more than Germany ano Japan combined' —and could build ships equal to the world's best. The Soviet was now laying down more cruisers, destroyers and larger ships.
