Within the next year 500 Flight Mechanics and Riggers will be enlisted in batches of 50 or 100, and will be posted to Air Force Stations for training. A large number of, recruits in other trades will also be enlisted during the next 12 months. Initial period of service will be for 8 years Regular and 4 years Reserve. Applicants must be: — (1) Single. (2) Between the ages of 18 and 25 years. (3) Passed the Sixth Standard. (4) Able to pass the necessary medical examination. (5) To have some trade experience. Applications close August 1, 1939, but any received after that date will be considered for a later enlistment.
