At the wool sales. 6933 bales were offered, including 5645 from New Zealand and 6305 were sold. There was a moderate selection, chiefly crossbreds, which met with an active demand at recent rates. Slipes are now only five per cent above rates at the close of the last series, and at these lower levels met with a better demand, especially from Yorkshire.

The following prices represent the lowest and highest obtained: —New Zealand slipe halfbred, combing, lambs, Feilding, 12d to 15jd; slipe crossbred combing, lambs, Canterbury. lOd to 14Jd.
