SOME USEFUL HINTS. The clothes-horse is in demand for indoor drying in wet weather. First, however, put blouses, shirts, etc., on coat-hangers. It is surprising how many hangers and garments the “horse” will carry.

A supply of cheap blotting-paper in the kitchen is very useful for absorbing excess fat from soups and fried dishes.

Equal quantities of glycerine, methylated spirit, and lavender water make a comforting solution for rough or chapped hands. If greaseproof paper is folded and put into the bottom of the bread-tin the bread will keep surprisingly fresh.
