SENSATIONAL WIN

CRAWFORD DEFEATS MULLOY. TENNIS IN BOSTON. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 12.20 p.m.) BOSTON. July 20. Crawford achieved a sensational victory over Mulloy by 7/5, 6/1, 3 6, 8/6, Crawford seemed to have the match well in hand as he ran out in the first two sets but midway in the third he tired badly and Mulloy turned the tables, dropshoting and running Crawford from corner to corner. Mulloy made fifteen placements in that set, six on dropshots. Crawford ended the match with an unusual serving exhibition. He twice double-faulted at important points, then served two burning aces from duce to win. Crawford will meet Mako on Saturday.
