Winnipeg. —There are 229,274 parts used in a modern aeroplane of the type used in the Trans-Canada Air Lines. That does not include the engines which account for nearly GOOO additional parts while the electrical system uses 2.056 feet of wire. Each of the 163,000 rivets used in the trans-Canada plane' service as well as the engine have to be carefully inspected regularly to ensure continuous flying safety.
