The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co Ltd reports as follows on their weekly sale at Eketahuna: We submitted a fair yarding of all classes of sheep to a good attendance of buyers from local districts and Manawatu. The enquiry was keen for both store sheep and ewes in lamb, -and prices tnroughout showed a definite advance on those ruling at late sales. Competition from Manawatu was in most cases too strong for local buyers ideas of value and the bulk of the yarding left the district. We report a total clearance as under: —2th wethers, medium, 16s; good woolly wr lambs, 13s 8d; shorn and woolly wr lambs, mixed, forward condition, 14s 7d; good ewe lambs, 18s. small, 16s to 12s 3d; small wether lambs, 7s 7d, Ils 7d; fat wethers, best, 20s 9d, fair, 18s; s.m. ewes r.w. S.D., 13s 4d to 12s 6d; small 2th do r.w. S.D., 14s 7d; medium 2th ewes do, 20s, good, 23s 6d; s.m. light condition ewes rlw| S.D., 10s, 13s to 14s; failing mouth do, 6s to ss.
