NEARLY A TRAGEDY

AT PRE-WEDDING PARTY. Just before Tyrone Power's wedding a party given in his honour by Miriam Hopkins and her husband. Anatole Litvak,, very nearly ended in tragedy for the young star. 'A swim was suggested, and Power was the first ready. He rushed down the beach and .made a running dive into the breakers and struck a sand bar. He was so dazed he had to be helped from the water,, but soon recovered. The accident could easily have broken his neck.
