REPORT & DENIAL

ALLEGED ATTEMPT ON LIFE OF GOERING. SAID TO HAVE BEEN WOUNDED IN ARM. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright LONDON. July 16. Unofficial reports received in London say that Marshal Goering was wounded in the left arm when an attempt was made on his life in Berlin early on the morning of July 12. The reports are denied in Berlin, and also at the Embassy in London, but they persist in Warsaw and Paris.

The first news of the attempted assassination was received in Warsaw from a deserter from the German army. He alleged that there is open hostility between Marshal Goering and Dr. Goebbels regarding Danzig.
