TYROL EXPULSIONS
SOME SUGGESTED REASONS INDIGNATION OF POPULACE. AGAINST THEIR REMOVAL TO THE RETCH. (Independent Cable Service.) (Received This Day, 9.15 a.m.) PARIS, July 17. The last of the foreigners to leave the South Tyrol declare there is no doubt that the “quit” notices were due to German and Italian fears that they might foment increasing indigation in the Tyrolese against their removal to the Reich. They also believe that vital war industries will be started in the Tyrol, because of its inaccessibility for planes. It may also be fortified, to prevent the advance of a French army in war lime.
