NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, pursuant to "The Rating Act, 1925,” and all other powers in that behalf it enabling, the Castlepoint County Council intends,' at an ordinary meeting of the said Council, to be held in the County Office, Tinui, on MONDAY, the 14th day of August, 1939, to make and levy the following general rates for the year commencing on the Ist day of April, 1939, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1940, on the capital rateable value of all rateable property of the County of Castlepoint, as appearing on the valuation rolls in force for the said period. IN THE NORTH RIDING, a General rate of one penny half-penny in the pound. IN THE SOUTH RIDING, a General rate of one penny and one-six-teenth of a penny in the pound. IN THE EAST RIDING, a general rate of one penny and threesixteenths of a penny in the pound. IN THE WEST RIDING, a general rate of one and seven-sixteenths of a penny in the pound. And notice is further given that such rates shall be payable in one sum in the County Office, Tinui, on the 16th day of August, 1939. That a rebate of 4% will be allowed on the general rate if the demand is paid in full within 30 days from the date thereof.
