GREYTOWN

PAPAWAI PA RENOVATION PROPOSALS. ("Times-Age” Special.) At a meeting of the Papawai Maori Pa Renovation Committee it was intimated that Sir Apirana Ngjita, Maori member for the district, would be visiting Papawai on Sunday next in connection with Pa renovation matters.

On his arrival at 11 a.m., Sir A. Ngata will be suitably welcomed by representatives of the different tribes, and an informal luncheon will be held at 12.30 p.m.. the arrangements for which were placed in the hands of the ladies' committee. Messrs Ben Roberts and J. Robertson, M’s.P., will accompany the official party. Al 2 p.m. Sir A. Ngata will be welcomed by Mr Ben Roberts. M.P.. who will detail what the Renovation Committee hopes to accomplish. Mr J. Robertson, M.P.. as well as leading citizens of the district, will also be invited to make a few remarks. Afternoon tea. presided over by the ladies' committee, will be served shortly after 3 p.m. A committee consisting of Messrs Roberts, Manihera, Vile and Mrs Kilgour, was appointed to carry out the details in connection with the reception arrangements. Personal. The many friends of Mr D. Jewell will regret to learn that he has found it necessary to enter the Greytown Hospital for treatment.
